Like my friend, Mary, who collects crystal ornaments, bells and candleholders. Her kitchen sparkles when the lights are turned on or the sun shines through the windows. Mary is a serene person and the crystals satisfy her deep love to be surrounded by beautiful things.
Or my dear grandmother whose house was a showcase for crystal decor. She collected both natural and man-made crystal of all kind. She called the crystal her “pretties”. I didn’t realize those sparkling glass treasures she had stuck into every nook and cranny of her house were real treasures – I mean with a nice monetary value – until she passed away and I inherited them. How I wish I had taken more of an interest in those beautful crystal treasures when she was alive! Now my own home is decorated with crystal pretties … thanks to her.
